Because Swagelok metal hoses are hydroformed rather than mechanically rolled, they demonstrate greater flexibility, more consistent wall thickness, and can last significantly longer than alternative metal hoses in applications with dynamic bending and pressure impulses.
Convoluted metal core braided hose is constructed of 316L stainless steel or hastelloy for minimal permeation or absorption. The convoluted core allows for flexibility while limited kinking and automatic cap welds enable consistent performance and faster delivery to customers. These hoses are ideal for applications where permeation of gas would be costly or dangerous, such as natural gas vehicles and specialty gas distribution systems. These hoses are also widely used in semiconductor manufacturing cooling lines and support cryogenic applications. They are also used with insulation in high-temperature applications across many industries.
